
Emily Young
Emily Young is an award-winning writer/director.
Her first feature, Kiss of Life, premiered in Un Certain Regard in Cannes and won the BAFTA for Outstanding Debut in 2004. The Guardian speaks with Emily.
Emily is currently co-writing WHITE with E V Crowe, backed by Emily Morgan (I Am Not a Witch) and Janine Marmot (Hot Property Films). WHITE is the only UK project to have been selected for this year’s ACE Producer’s Programme.
Emily directed Veronika Decides to Die (2009), starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Emily’s graduation film from Łódź, Second Hand, won the Cinéfondation Competition in Cannes and the Golden Lion, amongst several other awards.
