Bridget O’Connor was a BAFTA-winning author, playwright and screenwriter. With her partner, Peter Straughan, she wrote the screenplay for the critically acclaimed Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, based on John le Carre’s celebrated novel.

Bridget O’Connor was one of the great short story writers of her generation. She had a voice that was viscerally funny and an eye for both the glaring reality and the absurdity of the everyday.
